These are not my shots, but they were taken for me for a centerfold layout we do in our newspaper. It will run about 14"X20" across two tabloid pages, which one do people like better and why please?
It doesnt matter to me whether we do the landscape or portrait orientation, either works for me.

    Thanks for any comments.
  2. My opinion: Both are excellent, but #2 has more impact for me (pose, facial expression, city background).

Thank you all. This is MElanie Murphy btw, who is one ot the top college-bound public school basketball players in New York City. She lives in Brooklyn and will be attending Stanford and playing basketball for the Cardnial in the fall. Every month we have a centerfold of a local athlete of prominence, however this is the first I demanded a night/city scene for the background instead of a football field or something like that.

At this point I was planning on running #2 as the centerfold, while #1 would be run on the front cover in the corner the size of a business card as a teaser to the centerfold.
  6. I think that would work real well!!

I'll go with #2 also. Both are great though.
  11. Very nice Twig. There is no question that #2 has the most impact. I have never been an advocate of shooting a lady with her legs spread but then that is not the image this tiger wants to convey. It kind of says, look out, here I come.

Image #2 exudes much more confidence which is paramount for an elite athlete. In the first image, she portrays herself in a softer, less dominating manner. Considering the impact of promoting her...the second image is the better of the two. A nifty addition to the pose would have been to have her toss the ball upward and catch the ball in mid air a few inches about her hand...just a thought.

Like them both but like everyone else, #2 has more punch.

    Numero dos, no question.
  16. I vote #1. 2 has too much attitude for me. 1 has more confidence.

    If that makes any sense.

    No 2

These are both great but #2 is the one imo.

    All the best
