  1. Couldn't resist this orchid at HD today. Perfect chance to practice my focus stacking. Any comments?

    The colors are beautiful...but the composition is particularly compelling. Nice work.

    This was my first attempt at any kind of formal floral photography. I read about the technique used here on another web site. Just a single lightbulb in a dark room with a black background. I was actually shocked at the results with such a simple setup. The detail with the D2X still blows me away.
