Had a couple of days with some friends in eastern Oregon. Not a lot of time but the weather did cooperate!! First stop, was Multnomah Falls along the Columbia River.

We drove to Crater Lake National Park, but between COVID restrictions and the lingering snow, there was not much to see. There was only one area "open" and climbing up, and down, the ~4 foot deep snowpack was a bit challenging. Once on top, the view was gorgeous ... if somewhat limited.

We heard about the "Oregon Outback" which is a desert like area near where we were staying near Bend. There's a prominent volcanic rock formation which sticks out from the surrounding plains called Fort Rock.

Finally, we heard about a place called "Crack in the Ground". It's a volcanic anomaly but is quite similar in some ways to the slot canyons of Antelope Canyon in Arizona ... although not nearly as pretty. My wife climbed down inside the "crack" while I stayed on the surface. The "slots" are about 20-30 feet deep and are home to quite a few bats; luckily we didn't see any!
