I've been dreaming about shooting an Oriole for a few years. It's the MOST shy bird of all I've ever encountered. You get lucky when you just see it, let alone get close enough to shoot.
Yesterday was a great day for me as I got this opportunity TWICE!
The lighting was bad on #1 and the bird was too far on #2 but I'm still happy with the results!

These looks pretty good to me Igor. I have a couple of Baltimore Oriole shots, but none of this variety. Very nicely done.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!
I'd love to reply each post individually, but in a few minutes I'm off to another wildlife shooting trip (deep Ukrainian mid-country woods- WOW! :Waldo:   ), wish me luck!
  12. What a beautiful bird! Congratulations. A bit of flash woud have made the first one a killer image.

  13. Congratulations, there is nothing like getting a bird you haven't gotten, I got a American Goldfinch today and that was a first and I wasa very happy with that!

I think number two is a dandy!!!

Very nice. I was fishing in the Shenadoah valley on Friday and saw two Orioles. It was the first time I have ever seen them in the wild. And of course I had my fishing pole and no camera:eek:
