Osprey catching fish

    From this morning at the dam. The fish appeared to be a big bream.

    ISO 200, f4, 1/1250, 400mm

    Sweet series of shots. That first is one of the better "My claws outstretched" kind of shots that I've seen.

    Wonderful sequence. In that first picture that osprey sure has his eye on the target. I wouldnt want to shake hands with him!!

    Thanks Anthony, Allan and Bruce. Went to the same spot this morning and the closest I came to an osprey was about 200 vertical yards. It's special when they come in right at you for the fish, for sure.

    Thanks Jimmy. Thanks Daniel - at first I thought it grabbed a turtle because the fish was sideways and dark-colored, not silvery. It is very large for the type of fish it is - either a bream or sunfish.
