Osprey Doing Nothing

I was having a slow morning when I ran across this osprey still on its overnight roost. So I decided to camp on it and try to get some BIF shots when it headed out to fish.

1) Well you're there so you might as well take the bird on a stick shot.

2) Finally some movement but just shaking itself awake.

3) After a few more minutes another false start. Just stretching.

4) And then there was this time when he/she really faked me out.

5) And finally, after half an hour of waiting the goofy bird flew behind the tree. Isn't bird photography exciting?

Yeah he seems to get around. Or they all talk strategy.

Oh I did enjoy the morning. Besides the alternative was to be at the gym So true about Haines. That's why I don't go every year. Takes a couple of years to forget that it's boring 95 percent of the time. Also the memory of the town itself needs a bit of time to fade
