Osprey hunting sequence

Discussion in 'Birds' started by Louis Champan, Jul 15, 2007.

  1. This is a sequence I shot a few days ago, admittedly they are not the greatest of shots, but I thought the interesting thing was capturing them in the water. I was shooting with D2X, 500mm and most shots were at 1/320 sec at F4, this was the best I could do with how the light was on the water at that time.

In all seriousness what is it that you don't like about these? #3 is one of the most interesting Osprey shots I have seen in a long time. Everything looks very good from here.

    Nice Action Series.
  12. Louie, your standards are way too high!!! These are great. The way the osprey is grabbing that catfish is so cool. Way to go. Wish I had seen that one. I like the colors in the water and action. Well done.

Gosh, those are good. If I had to pick a favorite, I think it'd be the fourth one.

Those are excellent shots, especially given the conditions you had. No complaints about those. Great job!

  19. At this sized they look super! Wow, what a series! Having the bird flying at you is just great. The colors look good too.
