Hi All! Today my usually friendly and accommodating ospreys were not happy to see me! As soon as she saw me she was in attack mode, she got so close to me that I actually felt a breeze as she flew by (that shot came out blurry). I did not stay long because I almost wet my pants! By the way these birds make a snorting type sound when upset.

Do ospreys attack humans? This one wanted me.

This is when I was first spotted.

LOL they are vocal birds. Seems you did piss it off. How close were you, somehow you threatened it, cause most times they just fly away.

Better get a blind to shoot from.

Backdoctor, I was about 100 feet from the nest and I would estimate the nest is about 40 feet high. I've been shooting this nest for about month now and you are correct they usually just fly away, but not today
