  11. Looks like nice light Randy for these great photos. Now how close are you to this nest?
  12. thx Lou,

actually the light was fog and this was a short break in it
for these guys i prefer 8am direct sun for the golden look.

we get very close in the boat, the nests are on top of shoal markers in the middle of the lake and on top of piers. The lake has hundreds of ospreys, herons, ducks, geese, you name it.

Wow beautiful images man! Amazing how close up they are, great detail!!
  14. thx Alex
  15. Nice light. That's one of the cleanest osprey nests I've ever seen. The Ospreys around here use everything but the kitchen sink in their construction!
  16. actually the light was not very good....it's more d-lighting in NC to the rescue (it was very foggy)....

most of the nests on the lake are all wood, i guess because there is so many trees around. It's very common to see them flying in sticks

Those are good shots Randy, I wish mine would have worked out better.
  18. thx Brian....
these were from a few weeks ago w/ the 300/4
as much as i like the 70-300 vr it doesn't compare to the 300/4 for this kind of stuff

Wow, those are amazing. I can't get over that they allow you to get so close.
