Went home via the River Road today and found a couple of these..A pair. Only shot one of them though the mate was farther away.

I like this one. Osprey are wonderful, the ones around here never seem too timid and the hooks are intimidating.

  16. Hey Gale,

    Nice job! Perfect timing.

I had one of these guys give me a buzz cut today while Papa Tony, Frank and I were trying to shoot the Dolphin show at the zoo today. They brought him out with a handler/trainer as part of the show and as soon as he let him go he flew straight for my bald head. I thought he was going to pick me up by the skin on the top of my bald head and take me for a ride or something. As it turns out he was flying/headed for a perch just above where we were sitting.

And as sure as can be on his return trip back to his handler, he nearly clipped me again. Maybe he was half blind or something. Or perhaps still hung over from the holidays. Scared the !@*$ out of me.

    Gale :

You're just tearing up the country with these recent shots ! I am so pleased to see how well you're doing with the D200, but I'll tell you this, it's the direct result of all your hard work this last year coming together now. It's not the camera, dear lady, it's you.

Excellent, and I look forward to more.

I couldn't agree with you more John. It's wonderful how a new piece of gear can turn you into a great photographer, huh?

You've had it in you all along Gale, you just needed that extra spark of confidence.
  19. Excellent capture Gale. All I saw on my way home tonight was a lot of cars.

    Well done!
