Took the 200-500mm Tamron lens on the D2Xs and used my monopod...

Thanks, Paul! It was one of the nicest days we've had so far this spring and a wonderful one to go out shooting... Having been at both places recently I knew that a longer lens would be required but because of the dock situation at Belle Haven I decided to take the lighter Tamron and monopod rather than putting a TC on my heavy 300mm f/2.8. I am pleased at how well the Tamron performed for me!

Nice Connie. It's been a few weeks since I've been down to Belle Haven. Nice to see that the couple are still doing well. It is a pretty convenient place to photography Osprey's, isn't it?

Looks like you had a very enjoyable day out. Good for you! Did you talk to the lady with the bird by any chance? I'll bet she would be an interesting person to talk with.
