Thanks Sandra. These were all taken at a small pond near the beach. Brackish or salt water, I think. Lots of birds, but we couldn't get very close to very many - even for my 200-400VR plus TC-17 - before they spooked, but there were good opportunities with the few that did. My favorite is the last shot of tern chaos.

It's great when you find a place with that kind of variety. If I were forced to "pick a favorite", I'd go for the second to last one, the 2 terns. Not sure why I like that much, but I certainly do :lol:

Nice stuff, and I am glad to hear that other folks have difficulty getting close as well, it is not just a Washington State phenom....... :wink:
