Ottawa and Mont Treblant

Discussion in 'Special Sessions, Events, and Tour Announcements' started by RickW, Jun 13, 2007.

  1. I will be spending 2 nights in each of these towns in late July.

Any suggestions as to photo ops there or in the nearby neighborhood?
  2. I hope you enjoy Ottawa!
Sparks St at night can be interesting. Same with Parliament buildings area. Day or night. Casino Lac-Leamy is also very nice. Gatineau park might be interesting.
  3. Sounds like I'll miss you at Tremblant by a few weeks. Gorgeous area, plenty of people watching (shooting), that's for sure! The raptor show up on top of the mtn is great. If you wander the pedestrian village, near the top of the street where the mini stage is set up (across from the photo shop).....there's a bee balm bush, TONS of hummingbirds there last year. There's a bench right there, pull up a tripod and relax!
  4. Thanks folks!

    Hummingbirds sound nice.
  5. Late afternooon, early evening is a great time to shoot them, the light is just perfect at that Bee Balm then.

We go up there every year for a BMW event (and racing on the track), I *love* it, a very pristine area!!
