  1. And here is where the rock dove thought it could fly through our lounge window (needs cleaning) to escape the peregrin (photo not available)

and here is the detail from the breast feathers

The rock dove survived to nick our hens' food another day.

  4. Any idea how to stop them trying to fly through? I have a similar imprint on the window at the other side of the room. I think there was considerable panic amongst the rock doves. They were just sitting down to breakfast.

I keep my curtains and blinds closed. Before I did that, I had the same problem. Since, I haven't.
  6. Brian,

Non-adhesive window decals can help. There are still instances where it may happen, but it's known to be a pretty good deterent. Some people use birds, but you can get leaves, flowers, or even an flag decal.
I must reiterate what John Prine says though, "....your flag decal won't get you into heaven anymore......"

Oh these are cool images! I can't believe a bird survived that crash but I'm sure glad to hear it did.

I installed blinds that we keep partially open and so far haven't had another crash.
