Yeah, the party was a blast. We always had one in our old neighborhood, this was the first time we had one in our new one.

We grilled a few dozen hot dogs, had chips and dip and provided soft drinks for anyone who wanted them. To make it complete, we also had:

    Soylent Green:

And for the adults, we had gluwein. Our recipe for it is (approximately):

    1 cup orange juice
    a few orange slices
    1/2 cup of sugar
    3 cinnamon sticks
    8-10 whole cloves
1 cup (or so) rum (we used Captain Morgan's Spiced Rum this year)
1 large bottle/jug of cheap dry red wine

You heat the orange juice, orange slices, spices, sugar, and a bit of rum on the stove and let it simmer for a bit, then add the wine and the rest of rum and bring it up to a simmer, then pour it into an electric crock pot to stay hot. You can add more rum if all of the alcohol evaporates out  Just the thing for a chilly outdoor party. It's also a good Christmas party drink.
  8. Another laugh for sure.  Only those of us old enough to have seen the movie Soylent Green would understand.

Yeah, we figured it would just say "Happy Hollidays!"
