at the Palo Alto Baylands Park yesterday were this pair of Canada Geese strolling with their little one. Their antics were colorful as they tried to keep the group together. They squawked and complained when one of the little ones got out of line.

Little goslings are always cute. I might suggest a crop off the top as a way of improving this image.
I too think they are cute. I'm also w/Gordon on the top-crop. The powerlines at the very top are somewhat distracting. Otherwise, nice composition.

I already severely cropped the image and made an artistic decision to provide a contextual setting. I would have loved to have had my 70-200 VR and TC with me, but I needed to see what the Tamron could and couldn't do in an environment like this. I had no idea I'd run across this charming family or I might have taken a different course.

Here's one of the parents making a few remarks to the kids.

Virginia,

We usually have lots of duck litters at the local pond, but I've never seen any goose babies. These are precious. ;-)

Nice pic and nice story.

Thanks,

Frank
