  1. Hi all
I tend to hang in the macro forum mostly, so these are a serious deviation from what I (sorta) know :)

Couldn't see a retouching forum, these OK here?

Is there a name for this effect mbe?
I quite enjoyed making em, hope it works for someone else :D

  2. Interesting effect... not really sure it works well with people though. Looking at the way it renders texture I'd think it would be great for that. But that's just me.

Boy, Kevin, these are not only uniquely rendered, but they're also actually very good people candids, and well composed too!
So, how the heck did you get them to look like this?
  4. Works for me. These are very nice.
  5. We do have a Retouching Forum but it is fine to post them here if you like. Interesting treatment for sure; however, it works better on some than others. As an example, image #2 does not work for me as the nose on the little girl is nearly missing in the shot while image #3 is quite good IMO.
  6. hi gordon, sorry about that.
I checked the picture galleries before I posted, but couldnt find it.
I went back to the main forum and its listed there *blush*

How to move the thread to there pls?
  7. Kevin,

I think the first shot is interesting, don't like the treatment on the second, and absolutely love the last two!

  8. Steve, thanks, PP comprised

    1. LCH adjust white and black towards centre of scale, more white for high key effect
    2. Adjust chroma downwards to wash out the color
    3. Apply sharpening fort the stipple effect.
Redo any of above to taste
    Apply color booster if desired.
    Hope that works for you

    ps. Capture NX was used.
  9. thanks all, nothing ventured, nothing gained eh ;)
