A couple I recently worked for asked me if I could create a painting from one of their wedding photos...I gave it a shot...comments welcome.

  2. interesting piece
    not sure i like it
    too dark for me
and the "fishing poles extended into shrubbery" seems a bit odd, quite frankly

there may be water below there... but, if you can't "SEE" it in the picture... it ISN'T there

the painting effect is quite nice, however
did you show it to them?
    did THEY like it?
    that's all that really matters
  3. with your permission... i'd like to post a brighter version
but... only if it is ok with you

    They have not seen it...
There was water but very little, the location has sentimental value to the couple.
  7. once again
    i DO like your work
and the image is nice... if it weren't for the placement of the fishing poles and lack of water SEEN in the image

maybe others will disagree with that, of course
  8. sentimental value is a VERY important issue
    i'd show them, then

Thanks Spalding...that makes a big difference. I will do a little work on this before printing.
  10. let us see your final image and hear about the couple's reaction
i'm sure they will be thrilled to have this sentimental image post-processed so well with the watercolor effect

    good luck
