Standard image thread protocol is for the OP to get the ball rolling with the first image.
Don't be shy.
Hope you're enjoying the new camera.

This was my first day with the g5. I spent most of it trying to figure out the menus and exploring features. I used the Oly 45/1.8 for this first set of samples.

Looks really good to me.
I guess we'll know that your relationship with the G5 is more than a dalliance if you update your Sig to include it.

I like the ergonomics a lot. The ep3 is prettier, but this fits my hand better, and the built in evf and articulated lcd make a great combo.

I'll be stuck in the damn manual for weeks to come. :Teeth:

Gorgeous set Frank

Thanks, Mike. I was lucky to have such handsome models visiting this week.

Outstanding set Frank.

Thanks, John. Some initial observations:
  • Image quality seems about the same as the ep3, but the g5 paints with a different brush. Not as punchy, but more realistic.
  • I miss ibis, and need to be more aware of shutter speed. Auto iso didn't kick in till shutter speed dropped to 1/100, which is low yield for the 45mm lens.
  • The articulating LCD is very useful. I'll use it a lot for portraits.
  • The g5 fires my Oly fl36r flash. Yea!
  • The kit lens doesn't have a quality feel. I imagine it's useful, but I'll stick with my primes.

Observations look spot on. A minimum shutter speed setting for autoISO would be outstanding.
