Parents feeding their young ..............

    These young Barn Swallows were perched on a power line waiting for their parents to bring them insects. There were four babies being fed but only these two were in a decent place for photographing.

    First pass goes to the right side.


    A few minutes later goes to the right again.


    Finally after several passes the one on the left got fed!


    Another shot of the sparrow that is raising the cowbird. This looks painful to me! This cowbird will allow me to approach within inches now before moving away. He/she stays near our birdbath and doesn't seem to be in any hurry to explore the world.
