Mr Short Eared Owl finally made it onto the cobver of something
Big cheer from here!!! Congrats on your cover shot - he is a stunner, isn't he!!??
It is good to see one of your owls published, they are such great photos!
When Nan & I went to Costa Rica and Panama with Lindblad Expeditions in March 2004, a group from Mass Audubon was part of the 60 passengers. The executive director Sue MacCallum was also with them, I wondered if you knew her?
I sure do know her...she's acyually approached me about PAYING me to shoot some stuff for them
Congratulations. That is one killer image.
One look at your photos (including the Red-tailed Hawk today and the Falcons yesterday) and it is obvious why she did.
I hope you can work something out. I know they do other travel programs, maybe you could work out a deal to go along on one and document it for their publication. Sometimes they get a free or heavily discounted spot on a trip for each 10 or 12 paid spots.
You would have enjoyed the trip we took to Costa Rica. I would have liked to see what you would have done with the Scarlet Macaws we saw there!
Congrats Jim this is an outstanding shot and I am glad it made the cover.
Congrats, Jim. It's a shoot that I always love.
Jim, that shot and the one you are currently using for your avatar are two of my favorites that you've captured. Glad to see others take notice as well! Congratulations...
Pretty cool, Jim, I like the shot, I like the cover, and having that top-left postiion makes it quite prominent as well
Great shot Jim, and a heartfelt congratulations!
Very cool indeed!

At long last your superb bird photography is making it into the top publications.
AWWWWWWW the owl finally made it...
I just think it should be the whole cover ...:>)))))
Good going Jim
I agree with Gale. The rest is wasted space compared to that Owl shot.
I love it when this happens!
Congrats my man great job... perseverance pays off
Congrats on this kudo from the Audobon folks. Now, come on back to the Bosque so we can get some shots here !
