I just brought my Bulldog Brittany home from the vet. She had to have surgery because she blew out her ACL in her knee.

I couldn't resist grabbing a few snap shots while she was still a bit loopy.

    Looks like she needs pampering.

  4. Aw, poor dear.

My lab, Magnum, blew her's out as well, 100% tear. I had traditional repair done and she recovered fully and ran agility for two more years after.

Did you opt for TPLO or traditional?

Hang in there, they do recover :)

I wasn't given a choice. But I am reasonably sure this didn't involve screws, the vet did mention "Donor Tissue" though.

Hugs and kisses to your dog. My little weiner dog had to have surgery and looked so miserable afterwards. She also didn't want to eat her regular dry food so I went out and bought lamb chops for her. I was seasoning and sauteing them and my husband is saying "Mmmm, dinner looks good"...."No! It's for the dog - can you phone a pizza"

aww, poor doggie. Well, at least it gives her an excuse for "eating in bed" for a bit.

Stitches come out tomorrow, she is doing well and continues to push the limits of Bulldog behavior as seen in the photo here.
