I recently visited the Pennsylvania State Capitol. It was one of the more impressive capitol buildings that I've seen. All images captured with the D800.

Gorgeous.

I still think that you and Ken should collaborate on a book of state capitols. Between the two of you, I'm thinking you've got at least half of them already photographed! Add a bit of narrative for each one, and you're almost there!

Well done, Glenn...

Thanks Lyndee...

I will have visited 16 capitols in 12 months by the end of August...maybe even 18 if I hit Lincoln and Des Moines on my drive back to Chicago from the West Coast.

Spectacular shots of a spectacular building! I like #7 the best, the dome over the court is quite impressive!

Thanks! It is a spectacular place.

Very nice Glenn I like the interior dome shot #7

Thanks!

Access to the Supreme Court chamber (#7) is only available through the tour. Naturally, when the tour entered the room it was packed with people. I had no chance to get decent shots. The tour guide came up to me and offered to give me sole access to the room once the official tour was over. As I entered the room, she asked if 30 minutes would be adequate to photograph the place. I told here that 15 minutes would suffice--and I was very appreciative!
