I figured what the heck, I'll upload these the hard way to my Comcast file uploader, because I really do want everyone to see them. Better variety this time too, with some actual males and kiddies in the shots. Made them a bit larger this time too, since they're not going onto the dialup friendly Polish Dancer's webpage. Want to apologize for raggin' so much yesterday too. :?
    All shot with D2x/50 f1.4/SB800.

Very nice snaps, Steve. Some great smiles but the young gentleman seems to be a bit unhappy.....

Thanks everyone for taking the time to comment

I'm in the process of finishing, then burning all the better images to CD for the many requests by the dnacers at the party. Big Stan, the Polish Club Prez, (my buddy's dad), is going to take them down to them in N.C in about a week.
  6. Nice shots, Steve!

Where in NC are they going to be?

Thanks Dawg, & David? The location is

in Waynesville, NC. Here's a link I dug up for further info. Their performance is part of this multi-day festival called "Folkmoot".
And Dawg, It's not what you know, it's who you know. That's how I do it! (That, and a lot of hard work!
  10. Steve, my 1,5Mb line reached red ... but it was worth every bit of it!!!
    Great photos.
  11. Re: Thanks Dawg, & David? The location is

Thanks for the heads-up, Steve. I'm afraid I won't be able to make it, but at least they're going to be in a very scenic part of the state. That's a beautiful area up there.
