I'm interested to hear your thoughts on the 80-400 once you've had a chance to put it through the paces!

I've shot about 10,000 shots with the 80-400 now and I'm very impressed. From Motorsport to airshows to wildlife I can't fault the image quality.

I've compared it to similar shots with my 300 f2.8 and 200-400 lenses and at f5.6 there is no difference it really is that good.

Autofocus speed is very fast and more importantly accurate, it tracks birds in flight no problem at all.

This lens, along with my 500vr is now my wildlife kit.
