Every now and then an early morning drive out on the beach pays off and this morning I was pleasantly surprised and rewarded by spotting a Peregrine Falcon perched on a drift wood log. As I tried getting my truck into position to take some shots here comes another vehicle blasting down the beach and I just knew that would that the falcon would fly off and I would miss the good shots. But much to my total surprise this Peregrine stayed put and didn't seem to be bothered at all. So I carefully moved a bit closer and into a better position to capture some of whatever this guy was going to give me.
Here's a few of the many shots I got on this morning.

All your shots are terrific. I wish I had the birds around here like you do. I'm envious but keep up the great work!!!

Her certainly put on quite a show! Nice.
Thanks Nick, and indeed he or she certainly did.
All very nice. I think I like 3 best - with extended wings.
Thanks Allan, in that shot it was about to take flight.
Each of these is up to your usual high standards, Louie.
