Do any of you guys shoot pets for serious money? (ie: it's your job)
Not me, but it sounds like a pretty good concept.
Lots of people treat their pets like their kids (or better) and might like some nice portraits.
Some of the larger pet stores do pictures with Santa before Christmas. Not sure if the same ones do regular shots or not
There is a forum named NWP or Nature, wildlife and pets.
A friend of mine does:
Muddy Paw Studio
I do some dog agility pictures as a hobby. I actually sell a good amount of pictures. People really like pictures of their pets. One day I wouldn't mind doing it full time. It's a lot of fun. I find dogs are much easier to shoot than some people. You can visit my smugmug album in the link below for some examples.
I don't, but I think it would be rewarding. Yesterday, I was at Costco and started talking to the cashier, who was planning to take her three dogs for annual portraits, she said her package costs approximately $250 with CD of all images and there are other options, like magnets, t shirts etc.
Rachelle Hale does here in NZ.
She used to be Anne Geddes assistant so she uses a "think big" concept for marketing.
Shes also a good shooter.˜
