I've been doing basic post processing at the 800 pixel size to share photos with friends, etc. and that has been fine.

I have made some prints using original (large) photos and they have turned out fine, but I don't have too much experience there. Now I have some indoor high ISO photos which look good on the monitor when resized to 800 on the long side but at full size look noisy (on the computer monitor).

Question: Assuming I do not post process to reduce noise, will the large photo still look better in a 4X6 or 5X7 print than the 800 pixel version which looks good on a monitor?

  2. Yes, it should look fine
