There are three forms of photography.

The first form is documentary. It adheres to strict rules; no alterations are allowed.

The second form is self-expression. It is the opposite; there are no rules. These photos are a great example of that.

The third form hovers in between the two. There are some rules: bathroom only, and duckface. It's called Facebook.

So if you make a comparison of photography to painting (before the days of film), I'd say you're very much spot-on here :smile:
