Picture doesn't look the same as the screen. Why?

Discussion in 'Nikon DX DSLR Forum' started by Catz, Sep 30, 2005.

  1. I'm sure I'm not the only one that has addressed this but I don't understand why my picture doesn't look the same on my computer as it does on the D2X screen. The picture looks so perfect on the camera screen.

I have my monitor calibrated so can someone here tell me how I can adjust the problem here? Should I be making the screen darker on the camera screen to adjust for the darkness on the monitor and then turn around and reshoot the picture?

    Thanks for any help,
    D2X Shooter

When you display the image on the camera lcd, simply scroll down with the control button on the right side of the lcd(the one you choose your focal point with) you may have to unlock the button to do this. but once you do you will see various histogram combos, the "blinkies" and other usefull information.
If you need, i can call you and go over this with you so you ccan practice as we talk.
  4. Thanks Dave, I will give you my phone number on Monday so you can call me and help me.

    Thanks for volunteering.
