Even though they are a large bird and theoretically should be easier to get an in flight shot. I've always managed to miss.
These are my latest attempts.

Would have been nice to have some decent light and not so much of a crop but.....what the heck....

Good ones Bob, tuff shot to get I've yet to get a decent one.
Thanks Louis..They are hard to catch decently in flight, some of which due to their flight pattern - you never can predict when they will swoop just when you think you have them locked in.
Great shots Bob! A bird that rarely stays around long enough for me to get any kind of picture at all.
Thanks Bill. So true - they seem to know when I'm coming and ready to press the shutter.

You did good, Bob. Regardless of size any bird that doesn't have a steady wing beat when it flies is hard to hit. Continuous up and down motion in addition to the movement in the direction of flight. Good on you for these two.
