Piliated, my first outing with the 500pf

    Did you have any trouble adjusting to the light weight? I know I did.
     
  2. Nice shot. Plenty sharp and good detail in the black feathers.
    Same here. I had to come up with a new holding position to steady it. And to swing smoothly when shooting BIF.

Its very simple. for a birder its a must have, 500mm at the weight of less then the old 300mm F4 AF-S, great VR, good AF speed much faster than the 200-500, does work with a TC although AF speed is slower than without but seems faster than the 200-500 bare. Great for travel, perfect as a matter of fact.
