I was happy to see this flock of grosbeaks near my home. I usually have to travel to find interesting birds.

Awesome set, Allan. Glad they decided to visit your neighborhood. Boy those guys are messy eaters.
Thanks Dan. It is hit or miss on flocks like this one. They hang around for a day or two and then move on.

Lucky you, Allan! Especially #1 is terrific. Just asking: based on comparative size of bird & fruit, could that tree maybe be a hawthorn?
Thanks Eric. I know more about birds than trees so you could be right.

Beautiful all around . Love the setting.
Thanks Bob. I was happy they were in the trees while still exposed for images without them being behind twigs.

Beautiful set. Sharp captures of the birds and the fruits make the images more beautiful.
Red colors certainly add. Thanks Phil.

Nice intimate series.
Thanks Bill. They were busy doing their thing. Several times the flock left these trees but returned within 5 minutes.

That is a beautiful bird which I've never seen. Beautiful photographs, too.
Thanks Jim.
