Piping Plover

  1. Was at the beach yesterday, saw this guy, took his picture. When I got home I ID'ed him. Turns out they are endangered. Good thing nobody saw me chasing him down the beach.

    Piping Plovers are so darling! And as far as I can tell, you did correctly ID the bird. I wish we had them over here on the west coast.

    As for the cute little image, you did fine; the two items I would add is, #1 if there is the option to get down lower to their level, go for it (very doable) and #2 use a longer lens (not as doable if you aren't a birder yet). :biggrin:
