These first two are from an expired roll of Ilford HP5 Plus on the F100. The third shot is from the D2H as soon as I got the lens, sorry for posting it here but just for comparisons sake. All these shots are wide open, had to be done right? =P

  2. Looking great. I have yet to use that one on my F100. Need to.

Hate to say it (no I don't) but the film photos look better. The specular highlights in the digital shot have little dots in the middle of the bokey-balls.

I really like that middle shot. The darkness has a mood and a half to it!

Look great! Amsterdam looks so photogenic...Hopefully I will be able to stop by there when I am in Sweden.
  5. Great lens in good hands. I sure wish you'd post more of your images, Edd!
  6. Hey Edd.... With shots like these makes me want to get out my film camera gear and start using it again... Love the second shot... Has great feeling to it....

Thanks everyone for the replies =). The second shot seems to be pretty popular, probably my favorite too so I guess I'm on the right track, thanks =). Amsterdam can be a great place for photography but these kind of shots are harder on the 85mm than with the 50mm. I just love the bokeh on the 85mm though so I will keep trying to get more. Oh and here is a bit of camera porn for those who are interested =)

Forgive the marijuana on the right and the glasses were just to prop the camera up =)

  8. Sure

Still have some nice memories from a study-trip some years ago....:tongue:

Please show some more views of this beautiful town.

Note to myself: ...should visit there again sometime....

Thanks Michael =). I have some more of Amsterdam from the 50mm I could show...

  10. Very nice Edd, I enjoy the images of a town I know well. Amsterdam is very photogenic indeed, as are many of the older dutch cities.
BTW, last image is upside-down

Another "vote" for number 2 Edd. It's really a beautiful capture.
