Playing with the macro lens - DIAMONDS!

Discussion in 'Macro, Flowers, Insects, and Greenery' started by David_Bailey, Oct 6, 2008.

  1. Not flowers or bugs, but close ups none the less.

Playing with the 60mm lens and off-camera flash. I used both an SB-800 and SB-900 controlled with the SU-800 commander.

A couple of shots of misc. collection of gemstones. These were shot with 2 off-camera flashes, an SB-800 and SB-900 controlled with an SU-800 commander. Flashes were placed at approximately 45 degrees and 90 degrees. Exif data is still in the images.

This is sliced agate or thunderegg. I really like the blood red color. This one was shot with 1 off-camera SB-800 placed behind the stone.

I agree. Very nicely controlled too!
