I had some nice light at times this evening, with a high fog rolling in and out at times....nothing special was airborne tonight, but I got a few decent shots....all were shot with a D2X at ISO 500 and a 500 AFSII with no TC tonight. There were tons of egrets, herons and night herons flying but they were higher in the sky than I've ever seen them...theyn looked like hawks soaring they were so high?

An early tern and and early Ibis

    Hi bfjr...

Thanks for the nice comments...I love shooting at that time of day with the warmth of the light. It changes quite dramatically as you track a bird across the sky and in any one series of shots, you can come up with a number of different looks due to this.

    It's always interesting!
