A couple of pollinators. Nikon 5T diopter and reducing ring.
That's some serious detail! The color in the second one just grabs me!!!
These are wonderful macros. Terrific detail, colour and DOF. Wow.
These are awesome! The exposures are spot on without over powering flash output.
If you don't mind sharing, what were the flash settings? Compensation, off camera, etc.?
The flash was on a Really Right Stuff portrait flash holder, so it was only slightly above the camera. Usually I cut the flash down -2 stops, but for these photos the flash was full, TTL, using a Sto Fen diffuser.
Great shots Jerry. I really like the 80-200 and 5T combo. Can't wait til my 5T gets here. Put that with the RRS bracket and SB800 flash and I might be dangerous. 8)

All I can say is WOW!!! Wonderful detail!!
They are both terrific, specially the second one.
Your getting some amazing detail Jerry and I love the color on the bee.
This is some serious major-league macro-photography.
My favorite is the number one.
