I still can't get a good one of the male. They perch for much less time it seems. I really doubt you even see or notice these forktails unless you were looking for dragons. So small.

The Damsels sure are fun, and they do stay still longer, yet they are smaller and present other difficulties. How are you getting these high mags, by cropping or ???

2 & 4 are excellent behavioral studies. The bluet shots also stand out.

Thanks! using the 90 macro. The forktails were as ground level so I didn't even try setting up tripod. They are cropped some, more for composition than magnification. I would guess that most of these the damsel was between 1/2 and 3/4 the width of the original image.

I have no doubts it´s quite difficult to spot, the Forktail I mean. With a coloration like that and as being an Ischnura it must be pretty small...

Nice shots, 3cats!

Nice captures, the Damsels were hungry, when they eat they stay in the same place a bit more!
Maybe they dont want to have a bad digestion!!
