Portrait of my wife (D2X 28 1.4)

  1. I took this picture of my wife this afternoon whilst she was basking in the rare UK spring sunshine. I'd like comments (overexposed?... etc.)

I like it. Its an eerie capture of a beautiful woman. The sun really makes this pic.

    Thanks for posting this.

    Welcome to the forum too!
  3. Hey Pete,

Good picture. You can tell by her slight expression that she is enjoying the warm sun hitting her face on a cool day. Thanks for sharing this moment!! :)  :)  :)  :)
  4. Thanks guys.

I don't know whether its something that I'm doing, but I've found the D2X to render the skintones rather flat. It could be that I should convert the colour mode to sRGB instead of Adobe before posting.

I'm hesitant to post negative criticism, but now that you've said it, I think it has a washed out look. I would definitely convert to sRGB before posting. It often restores the "pop".

  6. Tom,
I'll give it a try. I did play around with another version to move the saturation to 'enhanced', this produced a much better look in NC. Thanks for the comment.
