This is from the Cataldo Mission, the oldest standing building in Idaho. It is of wattle and daub construction. Those holes are for to anchor the wattles.

Thanks Nick, could not help myself. Good to learn a second new thing today, second after the boiling river in the amazon. I have some snaps of Wattel and daub work from a trip to Spain, never knew what it was called.

Thanks Darrell. Here is a picture after the race of Victor Espinosa (up) and expressing warranted happiness. This was an amazing opportunity for me. I have a California Horse Racing Board license which enables me to pretty much go anywhere, except on the track during a race..for obvious reasons. Before the race at Chrome's stall I made friends with one of the TVG cameramen. When they came over to Chrome's stall to take him to the saddling paddock, I told the cameraman "good luck" and he asked me why I wasn't going with them. When I explained why, he handed me his credentials and away we went.
