Post pix of NIKON equipment In ACTION

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by JerseyJay, Jul 12, 2007.

  1. I was browing fredmiranda and found interesting thread which goes all the way back to Jan 2005 (* lots of pages). In this thread you will find nothing but pictures of CANON photographers in action - lots of eyecandy.

Unless we have something here that I'm not aware of, why don't we start the same on this forum - obviously NIKON photographers in action :)

  2. I've had the privilege of shooting with a number of Cafe members. Here are a few:

Here's BourbonCowboy (Mark) at the the 2007 Northern Alabama Get Together (a much more flattering shot than he posted of me a while back:rolleyes: ):
    NIKON D70    ---    45mm    f/6.3    1/800s    ISO 500

DoorMan (Herb) at the same event with Clix Pix (Connie) in the background:
    NIKON D70    ---    62mm    f/5.0    1/500s    ISO 200

    dmwphoto (Dave) in Alabama:
    NIKON D200    ---    17mm    f/2.8    1/15s    ISO 400

biggstr6 (Biggs) in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia:
    NIKON D200    ---    16mm    f/7.1    1/20s    ISO 100

  5. Here's a couple from the recent Ron Reznick workshop in New Mexico.

    #1 Ron at Jemez Falls:

#2 Yours truly and David Cramer in the Rose Garden at Fuller Lodge, Los Alamos:

#3 John Palmer (PJohnP) photographing Ron Reznick at Bandelier:

  6. Here is a photo of me in action, taken by a friend with a P&S
This was in Senegal, at the Reserve de Bandia

    In the pic I'm using a D70s + 17-55, on my shoulder is a D70 + 1.7tc + 70-200
  7. Here's a few from my trip to Alabama...

Dave Dickerson - the person I blame/thank for exposing me to the 12-24 lens - in a more flattering shot.

Connie (Clix Pix) - doing what she does. I honestly don't think I ever saw her without her face buried in the back of a camera the entire trip.

And our host for the trip, Patrick, using "the Force."

I thought I sensed a distrubance in the force and had to check back on this thread. I see I was right! Thanks Mark!

Not to toot my own horn (but I will), I started that thread over there on FredMiranda

  17. Lisa,

    Small world, isn't it :)

    Quoted from fredmiranda:
I always enjoy seeing Canon gear in action. I'm happy to contribute the first example of Canon in action

Did you have a change of heart and went with Nikon or you just enjoy photographing Canon equipment
  18. Although I'm getting the dreaded "blue box" on the smugmug-hosted posts in the thread tonight, I'll offer this repeat from June . . .

Here (left to right) are Jim Thomas (Pa), David Cramer, and Ron Reznick setting up to shoot at Bandelier National Monument. I assure you that they *were* using Nikon gear, even though that is not evident in this snap - LOL.

That was an amazing, informative and comfortable few days.

  19. Can I play? This is the only photo I have of me and my camera - I'll keep looking though!
