Post your 180 F2.8 portraits, please

    Please post your portraits with the Nikkor 180, either DX or FX.
    I had this lens some time ago when I owned a D200, and though I really liked the IQ I sold it mainly due to its poor AF (I didn`t take a lot of portraits at that time). Bad mistake! Now I have a D700 and think of getting this lens again:smile:.

    these are absolutely stunning portraits! The 180 gives a special look which I like very much. Also the bokeh is really nice. Thanks for taking your time!

    Tony,
    you can be very proud of your niece. Your two portrait shots are so nice! The 180 seems not to have as much contrast as newer lenses, but that is what gives the photos such an elegant look.

    Hi 180q,
    thanks for sharing this great environmental portrait with the D700! Very nice mood.
    This lens is already sharp at f2.8, the colors it produces are realistic and look great. I could just see some CA, but it doesn`t seem to be a big problem.
