I just got a 70-300 2 days ago, and started using it on my V1 (as it seems impossible to find a V3 in Switzerland). The first images show that the lens really is extremely sharp and the AF really fast !

I shot -handheld- this red kite on top of a tree, about 50 meters (165 feet) away ! The Exifs are embedded in the image.

These photos made with the Nikon 1 V3 on the Nikon 1 70-300mm plus the Nikon No. 5T close up filter attachment. Just screw it on and you have a macro combo.
