1. Erecting a wind turbine tower at the Hopkins Ridge wind farm, Columbia County, WA. Towers are 225 feet high and weigh 77 tons. Each turbine blade is 129 feet long and weighs over 7 tons.

2. Base of tower: The construction of each tower's foundation required 120 anchor bolts, 3,954 nuts, and 11,750 cubic yards of concrete. Each anchor bolt is a minimum of 28 feet long and weighs approximately 150 lbs.

Ferndale Grain is now owned by Cargill. I like that Cargill retained the original sign on the building.

Pulp Mill in operation in 2009 in Bhunya in the otherwise pristine countryside of Swaziland (now eSwatini).
This Mill was scheduled to be sold or closed due to financial and pollution problems when I photographed it in 2009 and seems to have failed the following year.

New fish weir at the Redfish Lake Outlook in Idaho. It's purpose is to capture the Sockeye Salmon returning to spawn in Redfish Lake. The smolts are grown near my hometown and are returned to the waters of the outlet near the weir. This year they are only expecting about 25 to return. They said that next year should be a much better year.
