A hazy day in the field today no sun and a few rain drops but I just wanted to check to see if all was going OK at 4 nests. At the last one the triplets just seemed to be getting this lesson from Mom so I had to play. (9 photos)

Lou,
I guess the miracle really is in the timing, great timing! And downright funny too!

Hey Kiven you got that right any time I can get a good laugh out of a raptor I say its a great photo. I love to watch all raptors in the scope wnen nesting. Sometimes I would sit for hours at an eagles nest and see the antics of the young and never take a photo.

Lou from your angle I thought the baby was going to spray MOM. Very funny.
No it was walking to the same spot as Mom was. Funny how they will bring all knds of junk in their nest but they won't Poop in it. Over the years I have watched a lot of nests of raptors andthey all do the same thing. Yet the stuff I have seen come out of an eagle nest at banding time is unbelievable.
I swear on one occasion I think we took a chicken carcass out of one. Great fun and thanks

too funny Lou!!! fantastic shots!
Good you got a laugh Ray as I did watching it and when I downloaded I just could not help my self. The amazing thing is the weather was so poor with fog, haze and raindrops I never expected to get very much. I normanly just leave my camera on low burst speed so I don't take more than one if not needed but when I saw the young getting so active I switched to high speed burst and I am glad I did as I most likely would have missed a lot.
Thanks for the look

Lou,

This has to be one of your best series and the clarity is amazing. Looks like the haze didn't interfere much.

Thanks for the chuckle. I think we can all relate to our assorted poop shots. Hope to see you this Fall at Conowingo.

O thank you Crystal, I am really having a bad time with my eyes as my sight is going slowly (macular Degenaration) and driving is tough if dark or raining. I ask Dan about a place I could rent around there for a week or two so if I could stay there it may work out as right now it is a 700 mile drive for me where it use to be about 260 and no traffic. I am kind of sorry I left New York and her beautiful mountains and wildlife and I really miss those darn bears.
