Pretty in Purple

    we only get a couple of these a year and they don;t last long... hope you enjoy.. because this is most likley all we will get to see..

    both handheld.. as most of my stuff is.. 1st one had to use flash to get shutter speed up..

  2. Stunning. Great job on the color. Digital cameras generally stink at purple!

    So this is a variety of iris?

    yes its what they call a dutch iris... everyone says they have trouble with purples.. but for some reason I have no troubles.. spot metering and maybe having my hue at -3 and with balance at flash -2 has something to do with it.. also my reds are good without blowing them also.. hey it works for me.. so I don;t try to fix it...
     
  4. I am thinking the CCD based cameras like purple more too. I just realized that today with the D2X vs. D200.

    Are they the wild ones.
    We have alot growing around the woods.
    I will have to go look for some.
