Price drop on the 18-135mm - Why?

I have been seeing these sell on ebay for more...used.

I have this lens and I think it is a good lens to carry around all day.
Maybe it is just me, but I didn't expect the lens to be marked down so quick.

Wow! I have never really looked at this one, but with a price like that I may have to pick one up.

I love this lens - and for the price (usually around $200 used) its a great 'all purpose' lens in my mind - I regret selling mine - but it went to fund my D300 - when I recover from that - I'll buy another copy of it.

I don't want that....I want a new 24-105 (with macro) f/2.8 that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.
