I was asked by the dad to photograph the proposal of his daughter. I knew where it was going to take place so I just followed them around until he asked for her hand. She didn't know I was there for them. It was just before sunset and it had been raining. As they started walking down the pier the sun came out. I think it lent for a great atmosphere. Since it was sprinkling I used my D3s and 70-200. I had my D300 and 18-200 for wide angle shots but left it in the truck as it isn't as waterproof. I missed a full rainbow but I think having just the one camera let me concentrate on just them which turned out better.

Jon, these are fantastic. 2, 3, and 4 blew my mind, man. Fantastic imagery and could easily be stock photos.

Thanks. The D3s and auto ISO came through for quickly changing scenes where I didn't have time to play with settings too much.

wow on 3&4. like the whole set but 3&4 is so sweet man.

#6 i see you bumped up the exposure which caused some grain which is fine but i feel like it could also work as a silhouette with the nice orange back ground like #3 & 4 .

Thanks. I went back and forth on 6. I kind of felt seeing more detail was better at the sacrifice of some grain.
