Prothonotary Warbler

It must be April. The prothonotary warblers are back in full force!

This fellow is another one of those "always look behind you" stories. I was so focused on spotting one of these deep in the bush in front of me that I almost missed this little guy sitting in plain sight no more than 20 feet behind me.

Just a sweet bird, Neal. :smile:

I went out one day each of the past two weekends looking for migrators, but only came back with semi-decent shots of a female brown-headed cowbird and a male yellow-rumped warbler.
